Wildlife Photography
by Ali Baghdadi
Ali Baghdadi is a Chicagoland-based wildlife photographer, exotic animal expert, and founder of The Reptile Den, Illinois’ largest traveling wildlife education program. His photography focuses on the reptiles, amphibians, and overlooked wild species living throughout Illinois, capturing them in a way that feels both cinematic and educational.
Inspired by wildlife figures like Jack Hanna, Jim Fowler, and Steve Irwin, Ali has built his career around helping people better understand and respect often-misunderstood animals. Through hundreds of live educational programs each year, media appearances, and his work as President of the Lincoln Herpetological Society, he has become a recognizable voice in wildlife education and conservation across the Chicagoland area.
His photography is an extension of that mission. By documenting animals in their natural environments, Ali aims to reveal the beauty, behavior, and ecological importance of species that are often ignored, feared, or misunderstood. His work is available for editorial use, wildlife features, media collaborations, educational projects, and conservation-minded storytelling.
Ali’s goal is simple: to make wildlife more seen, more understood, and ultimately, more protected.
